Etiquette within The Dojang
(1) When entering the Dojang, Stand to attention and salute the flag.
(2) Bow to the Master or Instructor
(3) Remove your outdoor shoes
(4) Always respect fellow students, both senior and junior, including the children.
(5) You train to learn Tae Kwon Do of your own free will
(6) When leaving the Dojang, stand to attention and salute the flag, then bow to the Master or Instructor
Code Of Conduct For Students
Plym Tae Kwon Do is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its members. The club believes that it is important that members, instructors, administrators and parents associated with the club, should at all times, show respect and understanding for the saftey and welfare of others. Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with instructors or club committee members.
As a member of Plym Tae Kwon Do, you are expected to abide by the following code of conduct:
(1) All members must train within the rules and respect instructors and their decisions.
(2) All members must respect opponents.
(3) Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions or inform their instructor if they are going to be late.
(4) Members must wear suitable kit for training.
(5) Members must pay any fees for training or events promptly.
(6) Members are not allowed to smoke on club premises or whilst representing the club at competitions.
(7) Members are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises.
Code Of Conduct For Parents/Guardians
(1) Encourage your child to learn the rules and train within them.
(2) Discourage unfair play and arguing with insrtuctors and other members of the club.
(3) Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.
(4) Never force your child to take part in sport.
(5) Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performances of all.
(6) Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making a mistake.
(7) Publicly accept instructors' judgements.
(8) Support your child's involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.
(9) Use correct and proper language at all times.
